Services
Man and van, house removals, clearances, and business moves — what we offer and how to choose the right service.
What removal and clearance services does 6 Days Delivery offer?
6 Days Delivery provides UK-wide removals and logistics including man and van, small moves, house removals, student moves, house clearances, furniture collection and delivery, storage moves, packing assistance, and business relocations. Whether you need a single sofa collected, a full house cleared, or an office relocated, we match the right vehicle, crew, and insurance to the job. Not sure which service fits? Request a free quote with a short description of your move and we will recommend the best option.
What is the difference between man and van and full house removals?
A man and van service is ideal for lighter loads — single items, studio flats, marketplace collections, and jobs where one van and a two-person crew are enough. House removals suit fuller household moves with more volume, room-by-room placement, optional packing, and larger vehicles where needed. Both include insured crews and fixed written quotes. Tell us what you are moving and we will advise the most cost-effective option — or get a quote online to compare.
Can you help with house clearances, probate, and void properties?
Yes. We handle full and partial house clearances for landlords, agents, and families, including sensitive probate clearances for executors and solicitors. We also provide fast end-of-tenancy clearance for void turnarounds. Our own crews are Waste Carrier licensed, items are sorted for reuse or recycling where possible, and you receive a clear scope and fixed quote before work starts. For probate or commercial clearances, contact our team so we can discuss access, keys, and documentation.
Do you offer office and business relocations?
Yes. Our office relocations and business moves services cover desks, IT equipment, filing, and stock moves with planning to reduce downtime. We can work evenings or weekends where required, provide insurance documentation for commercial contracts, and coordinate multi-phase moves if you are changing premises in stages. Share your floor plan, headcount, and target date when you request a quote.
Can you collect and deliver furniture or single items?
Yes — our furniture collection and delivery service covers one-off collections from retailers, private sellers, and auction houses, as well as room-to-room moves within the same property. For smaller loads, a man and van is often the most economical choice. Send dimensions, photos, and both postcodes when you request a quote so we can confirm vehicle access and provide an accurate price.
Do you provide packing and moving assistance?
Yes. Our packing services range from supplying boxes and wrap to full pack-and-move packages for homes and offices. Packing can be added to house removals or booked on its own if you only need help preparing fragile items. Mention crockery, artwork, or home-office equipment when you get a quote and we will recommend the right level of support.
Bookings
How to book, what we need from you, and what happens after you enquire.
How do I book a removal or clearance?
The fastest route is our online quote form — share pickup and delivery postcodes, property type, an estimate of volume, and your preferred date. We review the job, confirm vehicle and crew size, then send a fixed written quote. Prefer to talk it through? Use our contact form or call our team. Once you accept the quote, your move is scheduled and you receive confirmation with arrival windows and a practical preparation checklist.
How far in advance should I book my move?
For house removals and busy periods (month-end, school holidays, bank holidays), booking two to four weeks ahead secures your preferred date. Man-and-van and single-item jobs can often be arranged within a few days. If your completion date is tight, call us as soon as exchange is confirmed — we regularly support chain moves and can hold provisional slots while dates firm up. Contact us for urgent availability.
Can you help with last-minute or weekend moves?
Often, yes — subject to crew and vehicle availability. Weekend and short-notice slots are popular, so the more detail you provide upfront (inventory, access, parking), the faster we can confirm. Submit a quote request with your ideal date and we will reply the same working day where possible, or call for same-week moves.
What details do you need for an accurate quote?
Helpful information includes: both postcodes, property type (flat, house, office), floor level and lift access, parking restrictions, a room-by-room list or photos of larger items, any dismantling required, and whether you need packing or clearance disposal. For clearances, note probate, void, or end-of-tenancy context. The more accurate the brief, the more reliable your fixed quote — use our quote form and attach photos if you can.
How do you choose the right vehicle and crew for my job?
We assess volume, weight, stair access, distance, and any specialist needs such as fragile handling, clearance disposal, or dismantling. A studio flat may suit a Luton van with two movers; a three-bedroom house may need a larger vehicle and three or four crew. Matching resources correctly keeps your move efficient, protects your belongings, and avoids surprise costs on the day.
Can I reschedule or change my booking?
Yes — requests to change your service date, addresses, or scope are subject to availability and may result in additional charges. Contact us as soon as you know about a date change or extra items so we can adjust crew and vehicle allocation and confirm any revised pricing before amending the booking. Get in touch with your booking reference for the quickest update. Amendment and cancellation terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. With 14 or more days' notice, your deposit is refunded in full. With 7–13 days' notice, 50% of the deposit is refunded (minimum £45 retained). With 5–6 days' notice, the deposit is non-refundable. With less than five days' notice, or if access is not provided on the day, we may retain the deposit and charge reasonable costs already incurred. Full detail, including deposit refunds and consumer rights, is in our Terms & Conditions.

How much do removals cost in the UK?
Removal costs depend on how much you are moving, distance between properties, crew size, vehicle type, access (stairs, lifts, parking), and add-ons such as packing or clearance. As a rough guide, man-and-van jobs often start from a few hundred pounds for local moves, while full house removals scale with bedrooms and distance. We provide fixed written quotes based on the information you supply — request your free quote for a personalised estimate. Payment terms, including deposit and balance due dates, are confirmed when you book and set out in our Terms & Conditions.
How is my quote calculated?
Quotations are based on the information you provide, including collection and delivery addresses, inventory details, photographs or videos where helpful, access arrangements, parking requirements, and property information. You are responsible for ensuring this information is complete and accurate. Your quote reflects the crew, vehicle, and services specifically detailed in it. If information is inaccurate or changes materially before the service, we may revise the quotation. See our Terms & Conditions for the full scope of what is and is not included.
Do you offer fixed-price quotes?
Yes — we provide written quotes for the agreed scope of work so you can budget with confidence. Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for seven calendar days from the date of issue. If your inventory, access, or requirements change before the service, we confirm any revised pricing with you before amending the booking. Send your move details with complete information for the most reliable fixed price, and read our Terms & Conditions for quotation and amendment terms.
When do I pay?
A deposit of 20% of the total quoted price is required to secure your booking and reserve the vehicle and crew. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than five days before your scheduled service date. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of any deposit paid, in line with our cancellation policy. Full payment terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer, debit card, and credit card. Online card payments are processed securely through Stripe — we do not store, process, or have access to your full payment card details. Cash may be accepted by prior agreement only. Payment methods and due dates are confirmed in writing when your booking is confirmed.
Are there any hidden fees?
Your quoted price covers only the services specifically detailed in your quote. Unless expressly included, the price does not cover additional journeys, extra crew or vehicles, packing or dismantling, undeclared waiting time, additional collection or delivery locations, or delays caused by third parties. If scope changes or the information supplied was incomplete, we discuss options and any additional charges with you before proceeding — we do not add unexplained extras. See our Terms & Conditions for the full list of what is excluded from a standard quotation.
What happens if the job takes longer than expected?
We build realistic time allowances from the information you provide. If the service runs longer because of factors outside the agreed scope — undeclared items, difficult access, extra waiting time, or volume exceeding the booked vehicle capacity — we explain the reason and agree any additional charges before continuing. Accurate inventory and access details at quote stage help avoid delays and extra cost. Vehicle capacity and additional-trip charges are explained in our Terms & Conditions.
Locations
Where we operate — local moves, Midlands coverage, and UK-wide relocations.
Do you cover my area?
We operate across the UK. We have established operational coverage in the Midlands — including Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Wolverhampton, and the wider West Midlands — and regularly handle moves to and from most UK postcodes. Check our locations hub for local detail, or request a quote with your pickup and delivery postcodes and we will confirm availability and pricing.
Do you offer long-distance removals across the UK?
Yes. Our long-distance removals service covers relocations between cities and regions nationwide — for example Midlands to London, Scotland, the South West, or cross-border within the UK. We plan routes, agree delivery windows, and can arrange interim storage if your sale and purchase dates do not align. Get a quote with both postcodes for a long-distance quote.
Can you help with local moves in Birmingham and the Midlands?
Yes — local moves are a core part of our work across the Midlands. Whether you are moving within the same street, between Birmingham neighbourhoods, or from Coventry to Solihull, we assign nearby crews who know typical access and parking constraints. See our locations hub for area pages, or browse man and van and house removals for service detail.
Can you move students to and from university cities?
Yes. Our student moves cover term-time moves, end-of-year clear-outs, and relocations between home and campus cities across the UK. We are used to tight stair access, limited parking, and flexible timing around halls check-in windows. Request a student move quote with your term dates and we will suggest the most economical vehicle and crew.
Can you collect from one address and deliver to another?
Yes — point-to-point collections and deliveries are one of our most common requests. We move furniture from sellers, retailers, or storage units to your home, and handle multi-drop routes for commercial clients. Share both postcodes, item dimensions, and any access notes when you request a quote, or read more about furniture collection and delivery.
Support
Insurance, changes on the day, and how to reach our team before and after your move.
How do I get help with my booking?
Call us on 07449162794, email [email protected], or use our contact form to update dates, add items, or ask about access. For new moves and clearances, the online quote form is usually fastest — we aim to respond the same working day. Keep your booking reference handy if you are following up on a confirmed job.
Are my belongings insured during the move?
Our own crews maintain appropriate insurance for the work we undertake, including goods-in-transit and public liability cover. Evidence of insurance may be requested before your service date. You must notify us before booking if any individual item exceeds £500 in value — including jewellery, antiques, artwork, and important documents — so additional insurance arrangements can be discussed. Waste Carrier licensing applies to clearance work involving disposal. See our Terms & Conditions for insurance and high-value item requirements.
What happens if something is damaged?
Inspect your belongings when the service is completed. Visible damage must be reported immediately to the crew on site. Any damage discovered afterwards must be reported in writing within seven days to [email protected], including your booking reference, a description of the damage, photographs, and supporting evidence. We investigate all claims and liaise with the relevant contractor or insurer where appropriate. Full claims guidance is in our Terms & Conditions.
Can I add extra items on moving day?
Where vehicle space and time allow, additional items may be accepted — but undeclared volume can exceed the booked vehicle capacity, require extra trips or crew, and affect pricing. If additional transport cannot reasonably be provided on the day, some items may remain uncollected. Declaring your full inventory at quote stage is the best way to secure the right van size and a reliable fixed price. See our Terms & Conditions for vehicle capacity and additional-charge terms.
How quickly will you reply to my enquiry?
Most online quote requests receive a response the same working day. Complex moves, probate clearances, or multi-site commercial jobs may need a short follow-up call to confirm detail. For urgent same-week moves, call 07449162794 after submitting your quote form so we can prioritise availability.
House Removals
Practical answers for flats, houses, packing, and getting ready for moving day.
How much does a typical house removal cost?
House removal prices depend on bedrooms, volume, distance, crew size, and access — not a one-size-fits-all rate. A one-bedroom flat move differs greatly from a four-bedroom family relocation with packing. We quote fixed prices from your inventory rather than open-ended hourly guesses. See our house removals service page for scope detail, then request your free quote for a written estimate tailored to your home.
Can you move furniture from a flat without a lift?
Yes. Walk-up flats and apartments without lifts are routine for our own crews. Tell us the floor level, stair width, and any tight turns when booking so we allocate enough movers and allow realistic time. Reserved parking or a loading bay permission letter helps keep your move efficient.
Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Beds, wardrobes, dining tables, and home-office desks can be dismantled and reassembled as part of your move. Flag which pieces need this when requesting your quote so we schedule sufficient time and bring the right tools. Flat-pack items you plan to move assembled should be mentioned too — they often need extra protection.
How many movers do I need for my home?
As a guide: one mover suits very small loads where you can assist; two movers cover most man-and-van jobs and one-bedroom moves; three or more are recommended for larger homes, heavy furniture, or difficult stair access. We recommend crew size from your inventory — understaffing risks delays and damage; right-sizing keeps your move on schedule.
Do you bring blankets, straps, and moving equipment?
Yes. Crews carry professional blankets, straps, sack trucks, and floor protection as standard. Specialist materials for fragile china, TVs, or artwork can be arranged through our packing service. Mention pianos, safes, or unusually heavy items in advance so we confirm handling and insurance.
Can you pack my home for me?
Yes. Choose full pack-and-move, partial packing for kitchens and fragiles only, or materials supply through our packing services. Packing can be booked alongside house removals or scheduled the day before your move. Get a packing quote and note which rooms need the most help.
Do you move fragile or high-value items?
Yes — including antiques, artwork, electronics, and agreed piano moves. Declare high-value pieces when booking so we plan wrapping, vehicle space, and insurance cover. Professional packing dramatically reduces risk for glass, mirrors, and fine art.
Do you offer long-distance home removals?
Yes. We relocate households UK-wide with planned routes, secure loading, and agreed delivery windows. If your chain has a gap between sale and purchase, storage can bridge the period. Request a quote with both postcodes for a long-distance home removal quote, or read about long-distance removals.
How should I prepare for moving day?
Label boxes by room, set aside essentials (documents, medication, chargers, kettle), disassemble items you agreed to handle yourself, and reserve parking where possible. Defrost fridges in advance and tell us about restricted access or permit-only bays. We send confirmation with arrival windows and a checklist — following it helps the crew work efficiently. Questions before the day? Contact us and we will walk you through it.
